The easy way to cartography

Grid maps are map projections: Projections of the Earth sphere onto a plane (map).

The program GridMaps draws grid maps of great diversity concerning type and form. Thereby a collection of map projections is offered which is based upon systematics that have been created by cartographers throughout the centuries.

In the related Help project (eBook to GridMaps) you can learn a lot of interesting things about Cartography (tasks, definitions, systematics, historics, etc.). For the interested laymen there is the possibility to be engaged in the mathematical fundamentals.

At the present website you get some pithy informations about the program GridMaps.

All map projections presented on these websites about cartography  NETS on net  are created with this program.

If you are interested in GridMaps you have the opportunity to order the full-version of the program. However you should become acquainted with a demo-version (freeware) first.
